Gallery Presentation
Galerie Claire Gastaud has 3 spaces:
-In Paris, in the Marais district near the Centre Pompidou, a space dedicated to curatorial projects, regularly giving international artists and curators “carte blanche”.
-The historic space in Clermont-Ferrand (opposite FRAC auvergne, between the Ministry of Culture and the Cathedral), dedicated to major museum exhibitions and featuring an underground space, regularly taken over by artists for performances, encounters or the creation of in situ works.
- Every summer, the gallery presents a major monographic exhibition at the Château de la Trémolière (Cantal) and welcomes artists in residence.
Since it opened in 1986, Galerie Claire Gastaud has established itself as one of France's most influential art galleries. The programming is inspired by the interference of generations, mediums and nationalities. The gallery's commitment to artists is protean, based on a rhizome-like dissemination of contemporary art, and particularly committed to women artists.
