Gallery Presentation

La Nave Va Gallery opened in March 2021 in Marseille. On the heels of the second lockdown, it served as a way for us to take back initiative within a challenging context. From the very beginning of the project, we have been able to witness the extent to which Marseille’s contemporary art scene is abundant. A scene with often international influence and renown, it is one which deserves to be recognised, collaborated with and supported to the full potential of its rich offerings.
From this ardent perspective La Nave Va traces its outline. It is a gallery which testifies, through its exhibitions, to the dynamism of the work of artists in Marseille today. In particular, those working in contemporary painting.
Having initially started out in a small, 20m2 space, situated opposite the Italian Cultural Institute in Marseille, La Nave Va relocated and expanded in October 2023. The gallery now occupies a 80m2 space in the Réformés neighbourhood, just a 5 minute walk from Saint Charles train station. We organise around a dozen exhibitions per year.
