Gallery Presentation
Since December 2022, the CHRISTOPHE PERSON gallery, located in the Marais district of Paris, has been showcasing artists from the African continent and its diaspora. These artists, whose trajectories are part of the global history of art, share a personal perspective on society, enriched by their unique stories and experiences.
It was during numerous trips to Africa that Christophe Person developed his view of the contemporary scene on the continent. Since 2016, he has reinvented auctions by offering collectors cataloged and curated sales, representative of the richness and diversity of African creation, highlighting little-known geographies and periods.
Christophe Person is also involved in several projects in Africa. He is, with Burkinabe photographer Nyaba Léon Ouédraogo, co-president and co-founder of BISO, the Ouagadougou International Sculpture Biennale.
