Gallery Presentation
Founded in Geneva in 1991 by Barbara Polla, Analix Forever is a pioneering independent art gallery dedicated to creative freedom and artistic experimentation. A place for exchange, it celebrates the harmonious cohabitation of still and moving images, through drawing, poetry, video, music and performance. Through these mediums, Analix Forever offers a space where each work becomes an open door to new imaginary knowledge and the art of dialogue.
At the heart of Analix Forever's vision, drawing occupies an essential place, both as an intimate artistic practice and as a space for universal reflection. Drawing takes the shortest route between the brain and the work: the idea, the hand, the line, the sheet of paper... With its infinite richness, it unfolds in the gallery's projects as a territory in movement, a fluid and sensitive interface linking the body, the voice, thought and the world. Drawing never encloses, never defines boundaries, but is open, fluid and welcoming. These are values shared by Analix Forever.
Back in 1993, Analix Forever brought together drawings by 43 of the most important Italian artists of the time, including Mario Merz, Schifano, Mimmo Paladino, Giulio Paolini, Alighiero Boetti and Sandro Chia, and published the catalogue Segni e Disegni (curated by Gianni Romano). And in 2025, Analix Forever will be staging a festival of drawing and printmaking in Geneva, featuring 33 artists for whom drawing is a founding practice, alongside their often better-known multiple practices, such as photography, writing, installation, music and sculpture: from Mat Collishaw to Dimitris Dimitriadis, from Curtis Santiago to Bob Flanagan, from Laure Tixier to Rachel Labastie...
